FREE Thurrock SSP Secondary Dance Academy

 I am pleased to announce the Thurrock SSP Secondary Dance Academy.  The purpose of this academy is to give interested, active students further opportunities to access high quality dance instruction in addition to the two hours of Physical Education and School Sport that is already provided in their schools.  We expect all students that access our development centres to demonstrate the highest levels of sportsmanship and behaviour. 

Sessions are tutored by Dancemode Essex.  Dancemode run many after school clubs in the Thurrock area and like to give many opportunities for the students including performance, competitions and even professional dance examinations. 

“Our aim is to encourage and develop students dance skills in all key stages, using the latest music and dance moves that relate with youth culture of today.  Dance is an important medium for students to actively improve co-ordination and social skills.  By teaching in a safe and familiar environment, they are encouraged to learn as well as develop confidence and self esteem.”

When:Friday evenings for ages 14-25 years only (6.00 to 7.00pm)

Term dates:Starts Friday 20th January (does not run during half term week) x 6 weeks

Costs:FREE!!  Application form to complete on the day. Please note due to the limited capacity of the class YOUR MUST RESERVE YOUR PLACE BY MONDAY 16th January 2012.  You cannot just turn up.

Max Number:        20 pupils in each session
