William Edwards finish on top!

William Edwards got their track season off to a fantastic start yesterday winning the year 8 sportshall athletics competition at Gateway Academy.

6 schools took part in the competition, with 3 taking part in an afternoon session and another 3 afterschool.  All track races and field events were timed and measured and then scores amalgamated to establish an overall winner.

The results were as follows:

1st William Edwards 343 points

2nd Gable Hall 312 points

3rd Harris Academy 262 points

4th Gateway Academy 250 points

5th OPA 249 points

6th Ockendon 237 points.

William Edwards will now go on to represent Thurrock in the Essex competition in Southend in March.
