St Cleres hosted the year 5/6 Thurrock SSP School games football for boys yesterday in windy and rainy conditions very different to the girls competition last week. 12 schools took part in the competition, with them split into 2 pools of 6.
The winners of each pool then went through to play in the final, with the runners up of each pool playing for 3rd/4th and 3rd place finishers playing for 5th/6th.
Warren went through as winners of Pool A, with Tudor Court going through as winners of Pool B to see them battle out once again for the trophy.
Gateway qualified 2nd in their group to set up a 3rd place play off with runners up of group B Thameside.
Woodside finished 3rd in group A and went through to play 3rd place finishers of group B Lansdowne.
We saw some really close matches, and excellent football with the final results as follows
Lansdowne 0 Woodside 5
Thameside 3 Gateway 1
Warren 0 Tudor Court 1
6th Landowne
5th Woodside
4th Gateway
3rd Thameside
2nd Warren

Congratulations to Tudor Court who now go through to represent Thurrock in the Essex Competition.
