Essex Spring Games

On Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th March the Essex Spring Games came to Southend on Sea where both primary and secondary aged students took part in Sportshall athletics, and primary students also took part in Tag Rugby.

On Wednesday 18th it was the turn of the primary students, 14 schools battled it out and the competition was tough.  Belmont Castle performed extremely well and finished in 5th place overall.

On Thursday 19th it was the secondary students competition, St Cleres represented year 7 boys, with William Edwards representing year 7 girls and year 8 girls and boys. Again the competition was fierce and all teams did extremely well.  With the year 7 boys from St Cleres being crowned champions, year 7 girls were 5th, year 8 girls runners up and year 8 boys 5th.
