Did you know that there is a National School Sports Week? In 2009 it is from 29 June to 3 July!
The purpose of the week is to celebrate all that has been achieved in PE and School Sport over the last year.
This celebration includes Young Peoples participation, Young Peoples achievements and talent in PE & Sport and the contribution made by young leaders and volunteers and all those enabling Young People to achieve their potential.
The week also helps raise the profile all the amazing things that are happening in PE and School Sport nationally and encourage all school to raise the profile of PE & School Sport at a local level.
Look out for lots of amazing things happening that week and if you have a diary, write it in now!!!

Thurrock Lawn Tennis club kindly hosted the Thurrock SSP year 3/4 tennis festival yesterday. Teams from Little Thurrock and Warren Primary participated with leaders from William Edwards School officiating all the matches.
