Over the past couple of days, thousands of pupils across Thurrock have been active, trying new Olympic and Paralympic Sports.
Led by our Young Ambassador team and our SSP Patron Danny Crates, schools and pupils have:
On Tuesday this week, we welcomed Danny Crates to the SSP and visited William Edwards, Gable Hall and Giffards Primary School. At these schools Danny spoke about his experiences of the Paralympic Games and what it takes to become a champion.
During his visit to Giffards he also presented the school with their shield having won the Borough Olympics the week before.
We encourage all schools to take part in National School Sports Week and ask all schools to keep telling us what they are up to. Click HERE to tell us!

Thurrock Lawn Tennis club kindly hosted the Thurrock SSP year 3/4 tennis festival yesterday. Teams from Little Thurrock and Warren Primary participated with leaders from William Edwards School officiating all the matches.
