This group of Year 8 and 9 students from st. Clere's School attended an all-day workshop in Hertfordshire designed to give them an insight into the Olympic and Paralympic values. They are pictured here with Karen Pickering, an Olympic and twice World Champion swimmer, who gave an excellent motivational talk. The day has enabled them to return to St. Clere’s with plenty of ideas on how to raise the profile of the London 2012 Games within the school and wider community. Their enthusiasm for the project is incredible, and over the forthcoming weeks and months they will be planning and organising a host of events. We look forward to greater involvement of both students and staff in this exciting run up to the Games.
