Thurrock School Sport Partnership is proud to be the coordinating wing of the School Games. This programme is a celebration of competitive sport that involves all young people from year 3-13 of all abilities and backgrounds.
During this time of uncertainty with Covid 19 we have suspended all events but are working together with our schools to make sure children stay healthy and happy both mentally and physically. We hope the children will continue to be physically active at home with their families.
Get active together, play games, move about, dance, share activities and make sure children remember some of the good times through this difficult period. Physical activity has so many benefits to health and well being and your schools will be sharing links with you that you can access at home. We will also be using twitter and sharing lots of ideas to be active.
We all need to stay strong, be resilient and keep as healthy as we can through these challenging times. A good way to staying positive is by getting active and for us all to pull together and help each other and our community to stay as fit and healthy as we can, in a safe environment.
We may not be able to attend big sporting events for a while so it’s time to get creative and make the most of time spent together.
