William Edwards retain Borough XC title

William Edwards students performed exceptionally well at the secondary borough cross country championships yesterday, successfully defending their crown for the fifth consecutive year!

They saw off challenges from strong rivals Gable Hall and Gateway academy winning 5 of the 6 race categories in some nail biting races.

Team winners were as follows:

Year 7 Girls Team - Gable Hall

Year 7 Boys Team – William Edwards

Junior Girls Team – William Edwards

Junior Boys Team – William Edwards

Inter Girls Team – William Edwards

Inter Boys Team – William Edwards.

Overall Team:

1st - William Edwards

2nd - Gable Hall

3rd - Gateway Academy 

Congratulations to all those who finished in the top 8 in each race category and now go on to represent Thurrock at the Essex School Championships at Gloucester Park in January.  We wish you the best of luck.
