William Edwards Essex Champions!

William Edwards School put in a magnificent performance yesterday in both the year 7 and year 8 Essex sportshall athletics finals which were part of day 2 of the Essex Spring Games in Southend. 

The morning session saw year 7 girls and boys compete and battle it out against schools for all across Essex. The girls performed well and finished 3rd, with the boys topping that and crowned champions!

The afternoon session was the turn of year 8's with William Edwards school representing Thurrock in the boys competition and Gable Hall in the girls competition. 

The girls produced a fine performed finishing just outside the medals in 4th place. In the boys competition the team performed outstandingly and were crowned champions. 

Both boys teams will now go on to represent Essex at the East Regional competition.
