St Josephs win High 5 Rally

On a rainy a miserable Saturday morning at Hassenbrook Thurrock SSP hosted the year 5/6 High 5 Netball Rally.  14 teams participated in cold and wet conditions that were not ideal.  The first stage of the competition was the pool stage.  Teams were divided into 3 pools all playing eachother, the winners and runners up progressing through to the semi finals.  This saw teams from St Josephs, Deneholm, Shaw, Corringham, East Tilbury & Holy Cross progress.  We saw some fantastic netball and some really close matches with only 3 team progressing to the round robin finals: St Josephs A, East Tilbury & Corringham.

In the finals stages all 3 teams won 1 match each meaning they could only be separated by goal difference with St Josephs being crowned winners.

St Josephs now go through to represent Thurrock in the Essex Summer Games at Basildon Sporting Village in July.
